We spend so much time taking care of our physical health – eating well, moving more, and staying active. But our mental fitness matters just as much.


This event is about helping you understand, train and strengthen your mental landscape so you can better handle the ups and downs of everyday life.

We’ll explore what mental fitness really means, why it matters, and how developing it can help you live with more balance, acceptance and confidence.

What to Expect

A free, community-focused morning at Thrive Tunbridge Wells, designed to help you build practical tools for stronger mental health and emotional wellbeing.

We’ll cover:

  • What mental fitness actually is and why it matters

  • How to build emotional intelligence and resilience

  • How to act in line with your values

  • How to reframe challenges and shift your perspective

The Goal

James is a wellbeing coach and mental fitness specialist passionate about helping people strengthen the mind as much as the body.


His approach blends psychology, movement and everyday tools for resilience, helping people navigate life with greater awareness and confidence.

With over 20 years of experience across a wide range of coaching and wellbeing practices, James brings warmth, honesty and practical advice that makes complex ideas simple and actionable.

He believes that through small, consistent improvements to how we think, feel and act, we can all build stronger mental foundations to thrive in every part of life.
