About the Event
Why This Event Exists
Fatherhood is rewarding, but it comes with unique challenges that aren’t always easy to talk about. The Better Dads Project was created to give dads a space where they can connect, share experiences, and know they’re not alone.
What We'll Cover
Together, we’ll dive into real topics dads face every day, including:
-
Balancing family, work, and personal wellbeing
-
Managing fear, anxiety, and guilt
-
Building stronger relationships and communication
-
Learning to ask for help and support
-
Becoming the best version of ourselves as fathers
What to Expect
This isn’t a lecture or a seminar, it’s a supportive environment built around:
-
Guided conversations led by Luke & James
-
Open discussion and Q&A
-
Honest stories and practical advice
-
Coffee, cake, and casual networking
The Goal
The mission is simple: progress, not perfection.
We want every dad who attends to walk away feeling encouraged, more connected, and equipped with fresh perspectives to take into daily life.
Event Schedule
Saturday 15th November from 9am
Meet Our Speakers
Luke French
As a dad himself, Luke understands the unique challenges that come with becoming a father, work, and personal well-being. He’s passionate about creating open conversations around the realities of fatherhood and encouraging men to share their struggles rather than face them alone.
Just like anyone, Luke has faced the challenges of becoming a dad and is passionate about dads living in more awareness and honesty about their challenges. The blend of professional expertise, personal experience, and genuine care for others makes him a great host to lead discussions on how dads can support each other and continually strive to become the best versions of themselves.

Meet Our Speakers
James
James has been a father for almost 8 years, a journey filled with both joy and challenge. He draws on his professional background in coaching men, his expertise in psychology and personal development, and his lived experience as a father to support other men navigating the realities of fatherhood.
James understands first-hand the challenges fathers face, not just in raising a child, but in how fatherhood impacts relationships, career, and personal identity.
He believes that every man has the potential to be a great dad. For James, fatherhood isn’t about perfection, it’s about recognising our human imperfections, while also seeing our strengths and striving to be better each day.
With over 17 years of experience coaching a diverse range of clients, James now focuses on supporting men through one-to-one coaching and co-running men’s retreats with The Pack.
